Waking up late at night

Recently I finished to read the book “Choose Yourself” from James Altucher. You can find a link and more detailed description in my resource section.
He provides an interesting exercise to get back to sleep when you wake up in the middle of the night.

For me what he writes works very well to get back to sleep. In the same time you become aware of all the great things in your life.
The longer you do that exercise the easier you will be able to add new things that you are grateful for.

Here’s an exercise for those who typically wake up anxious and paranoid at three in the morning: instead of counting sheep to get back to sleep, count all the things you are grateful for. Even the negative parts of your life. Figure out why you should be grateful for them. Try to get up to one hundred.

What’s your trick to get back to sleep? Let us know in the comments.
